Dance pictures and lost and found items
The show was incredible, thank you for all your hard work.
I have a few dance pictures that did not get handed out to the girls during rehearsal. If you are missing your picture email dancesource@gmail.com and we can set up a time for you to pick it up.
There were also a few lost and found items left in the dressing room, they will be at the studio in the lost and found box.

Spring Concert rehearsal schedule
There is rehearsal at The Dance Source today Tuesday May 13 from 4:00-7:30. Please come with hair pulled up in a bun and leotards and tights. Company girls can wear leotard and shorts. Bring your dance shoes with your name in them.

the Ellen Eccles Theatre by 6:00 with Hair and Makeup done

During the full dress rehearsal you will need to bring all of your
costumes and dance shoes with your name in both your costume, shoes and dance
bags. Also those who are helping back
stage and with classes we will need you there so you can see what costume and
shoes they are to be in and how the show will run. No food will be allowed, we will have snacks
for the little kids. No parents will be
allowed in the theater during rehearsal times.
If you are in any of the dances scheduled for the Tech
Rehearsal from 1:00-5:30 on Saturday, you need to be to the entire practice, we
do not have a specific time slot for each dance so it is important you are
there the whole time sitting in the theater seats.
It is important
that each dancer is on time for their scheduled rehearsal time, allow yourself
an extra 15 minutes before your rehearsal to warm up and stretch. Arrive 15 minute early in your dance clothes;
you do not need to be in your costumes on Thursday and Friday. Saturday bring
all your costumes with the dancers name in each one. All Tap shoes need to have black elastic sewn
or glued in your tap shoe, No Ribbons.
The theatre has
strict rules and it is very important for us to follow them. No food, candy or
drinks allowed in the house, on stage or in the dressing rooms, you may eat in
the annex or outside. Do not run through
the theatre, dressing rooms or in the lobby during rehearsal. The theatre is a beautiful place and we are
lucky to be able to hold our spring concert there, let’s show respect and not
play around.

Hair tutorial
Here is the Hair Tutorial!
Start with a bubble in the front. Needs to be big enough to see it.
Pull back into a low pony tail
Separate the hair
Pull the hair through. (I remember it being called a topsy tell) and pull it tight
start at the end and start rolling up the hair

once it is twisted up start putting in the bobby pin, lots of bobby pins! Add a hair net that matches the girls hair color.
Hair spray the hair and gel it. All of the little fly away should be glued down to the hair.
If your hair is too short to roll up you will need to get a hair extension that matches their hair. You will add the hair extension when you start to roll the hair up. Place it right below the elastic and then start rolling it up, your real hair will be what you see once the hair is complete. If your hair is still to short place the extension in the elastic on the bottom and then roll it up. I would love to show anyone how if you need it.
